Babysitting Tips : Meeting the new family
Visiting the children and their family before you actually babysit is a pretty good way to get acquainted. It gives you an opportunity to evaluate the family and the surroundings. It also helps the children to get to know you. To make a good impression, wear clothes that say you are ready to play. Be sure to smile and pay immediate attention to the children. Try to avoid any kind of jewelery, which attracts the attention of children and is sharp edged. Plan age-appropriate, get-acquainted activities for your first visit with a new family. Babies may not talk, but they love to hear music, voices. They like singing, even if it’s off-key and rocking. Infants are partial to bright colors and the rhythm.
